Cheltenham's first lady of trance Well known for her infectious energy behind the decks, superb technical ability and genuine musical talent, Starlet has a bright future ahead of her. She has been DJing since 2001 and in this time has built up an impressive array of technical skills and adept ability behind the decks. Her ability to read the crowd is second to none and she can competently play a perfectly programmed warm-up set right through to a peak-time stormer which has the crowd begging for more! Whatever time of night Starlet is on the decks, her sets – trademarked with acapellas layered over tracks, interaction with the crowd and entertainment - places her head and shoulders above the rest as her evident passion for trance music captivates the crowd. Starlet has played all over the country from Bristol to Brighton and countless clubs in London, including La Scala, The End, Turnmills, The Fridge, Heaven, plus she has toured Finland and this year made her successful debut in Ibiza. Not content with a busy DJ schedule and getting locked into studio work at every given opportunity, Starlet co-promotes her own successful clubnight in Cheltenham *relish* and is of course proud to be part of the Flatspin collective. This year saw successfully perform her first live PA in London at trance night Menthol, singing “In A Trance” and plans are now being made for more live PA performances for 2006. Production Starlet’s productions so far have been well received – support from none other than Paul Van Dyk and mixmag charting her tracks has led to her first three productions being snapped up by respected trance labels. In A Trance (with Anthony Dean) has been signed to Inspired Records and Starlet has written and recorded a vocal version which is tearing up dance floors, this is set for release late in 2005. Starlet & Anthony’s follow up, Moonchild, was charted at number 6 in mixmag, received consecutive plays from Paul Van Dyk on his radio show and then snapped up by Flux Delux and is set for release early 2006. Her first solo track, Reflection, was immediately charted in mixmag and was signed by Brisky for release on his new Monster Tunes sampler series. This year will see Starlet embarking more of on her own solo projects, featuring her own lyrics and vocals. With years of knowledge of what works on a dancefloor, a triple distinction in BTEC Music Technology under her belt, and as a trained singer and pianist she is ready to really make waves in the trance world.
