Timbuk2, Bristol
December. The very word strikes fear – Christmas, cold, spending more credit, family…
So it was especially exciting to get away from all that and reach the night of our last gig of 2004 and indeed at Timbuk2 - the club having now decided that trance was not for them. True to form we went all out on a fly-poster campaign that ended up with a quiet word from the fuzz!
We moved the retro games room to the top of the dance floor. This was done to create a cosier atmosphere and came a step closer to our ‘home from home’ vision. Our aim as always is for everyone the chance to looose themselves in the music. That night was the best yet.
Meanwhile in Arch 2, Stuart Wilkinson & the Empathy gang were hosting a messy breaks & house session! Stuart's Empathy night has justly been a Bristol institution for the past 3 years so we were made up they came along although we think they had rather a good time themselves. :)
Richard Templeman, the latest Flatspinner and fellow Londoner lit the ignition, despite having had to lug his mate’s CDJ's all the way to Bristol. Rich justified his new lofty status playing the game of foreplay too well. A true wake of smiling faces.
Once Reece Elliot managed to park his motor, he joined Rich at the helm and sent us all into an unforgettable orbit (and wishing you had one of those silly signs emblazoned with the letter T!).
We saw the night off Flatspinner style: Si B2B Rich. Nice. Thank you for enjoying. See you in 2005.
