The Elbow Rooms, Bristol Our period of research and development for the first half of 2005 left us in need of a banging party. An all-day Bank Holiday Infection by the Scream warmup party people offered the perfect prelude to August @ The Warehouse. Infectious' Pat Garret got the ball rolling in fine style with some funky sounds building up for DJ Storm and Harry Moore. They instigated a stonking session of floaty euphoric and pumping trance and twisted house. As the place got busier, more came onto the dance floor which by now was bouncing along merrily with smiling faces and silly dancing moves. Time for Flatspinners Si Tizzard and Richard Templeman to continue the epic journey through trance, blending cutting edge sounds with Flatspin favourites. By now even those not dancing were at least wiggling or tapping their feet and we were all making new friends. As the 2-4-1 cocktails started to take effect the atmosphere was that of an anything-goes house party. Infectious residents Jodie Scott and Ross K took control taking it up a gear into techno finishing off a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Free entry and the fact it was still light outside added to the house-party feel with many saying later this had been the best part of their weekend.
