Saturday 5th June 2004 Park Avenue, Bristol
We decided to return to the scene of the crime & give Park Avenue
another dose of Flatspin madness!
This great little bar smack bang in the middle of the uber cool Park Street
has often been overlooked, but to us it was perfect - small, informal, laid back.
Unlike the crazy rush to setup we had experienced for Mayday Mayday!
this was a lot more chilled. We still managed to completely re-design the bar in the space
of a few hours! However as always, suddenly we remembered something we had forgotton... posters!
A mad rush around town followed, culminating in been ripped off blind by a certain stationary
shop on Park Street :-/
Joining us again to launch, Jay Russell & Rob Worth
span some early evening funky house before being joined by Bristol
legend Ian Cole. Ian, a regular at the best house nights in Bristol, arrived
with his standard 4 girl groupie party in tow. Anyone who has seen him will be in no doubt as to his talant
and ability to get a people wiggling an' a jiggling... this was no exception.
As we neared our descent, the bar was busy, the vibe was buzzing and deciding to keep it a free party, we all awaited Ibiza legend, Mr Christian. Reliably late, Cris arrived to take control of the 1's & 2's
immediately grabbing the crowd's attention with a his legendry ecelectic mix of great house. No going back now as we all
swarmed round the decks.
2am and our hangovers came too quickly, ending a truely unique night for both us & the bar!
